Before we start cleaning any rug, we often test for colour fastness, making sure the we will not have any colour runs when we start cleaning. There is nothing worse than having a rug cleaned which has a beautiful pattern and it ends up looking a Jackson Pollock painting – see link if you don’t know him. If we find that your rug is susceptible to colour running, modern dry cleaning methods use some moisture so we may not be able to clean it at all if it is bad. This does not often happen though so is worth checking for sure.
